 Valued, Connected, Thriving

Supportive living community for adults with Autism and

other IDD (intellectual & developmental disabilities)

LET THE GOOD
TIMES BOWL!

Our events bring people together to build community, raise awareness, and support inclusive housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. From fundraisers to community gatherings, each event is a meaningful way to connect and make an impact.

Your participation and donations directly fund housing, services, and community opportunities for the people we serve.

Across The U.S.
People With Disabilities,

Face A Severe Housing Crisis

  • SSI income levels are far below market rents, making housing unaffordable in every U.S. rental market for millions of people with disabilities.

  • Many adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities rely on aging caregivers, increasing the risk of housing instability.

  • Accessible homes are extremely limited, and basic features like step-free entrances or widened doorways are often unavailable or unaffordable.

  • Despite legal protections, people with disabilities experience the highest rates of housing discrimination.

Hope Thru Community

Our Mission

Create supportive homes of choice for adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities (IDDs), including Autism that give them a sense of pride, accomplishment and dignity through providing services and housing within a natural environment.

Our Vision

A world where adults with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities of all levels can CHOOSE where THEY want to live, with the confidence that they will continue to receive the essential services they need to thrive.

How We Are Creating Change

We build intentional communities that combine housing, support, and belonging—offering alternatives to isolation and institutional care.  Our plan includes:

  • Flexible housing options—from shared homes with 24/7 support to independent and supportive apartments

  • Naturally supportive neighborhood homes that foster connection and inclusion

  • Opportunities for social connection, meaningful work, wellness, and lifelong learning

  • Support for residents, families, and caregivers across every stage of life

  • Trial living opportunities that help individuals build confidence and independence

  • Together, we are creating communities that offer security today and hope for the future.

Home is where we bring our families and friends to break bread, rest, dream and create memories. When I saw the mission and vision of Communities of Crocus, I felt an emotional connection and instantly knew that this is just the type of project we need to offer a world of possibilities for IDD adults who want and deserve safe and supportive housing. Amy and Emily are driven, dedicated, and knowledgeable people who will have the stamina to see this project to the finish line. I fully support the Communities of Crocus and look forward to seeing it go from dream to reality.
