Community

Diverse Living Environments

Our Model

COC will be a place to engage, connect, participate, grow and flourish. We envision an inclusive supportive housing community of choice for adults with autism and similar Intellectual Developmental Disabilities (IDDs) that will allow each individual to live as independently as possible. The community which will provide an opportunity for these individuals to live and engage with others in a natural environment will include:

(a) Independent living apartments for adults with autism and similar IDDs

(b) Community Homes with a home for adults with autism and similar IDDs who have high support needs.

(c) A wraparound neighborhood of families and individuals who provide natural, supportive inclusion.

(d) A community pavilion to provide greater community integration and inclusion.

(e) A Supportive Housing Hub that will include services and supports for adults with autism and IDDs who live in the community and the surrounding greater area, & support resources and training for their families, caregivers and others interested in learning how to better support the independence of these dynamic individuals.

Community homes for people with high support needs. The Care at Crocus model is a "Home within a Home" where residents have 24/7 support that help them live as independently as possible in a natural environment. Residents have their own suites along with a shared kitchen and living area, laundry, sensory room, calming room, and nurse office. A front porch, individual outdoor spaces, and a shared back patio provide both individual and group gathering spaces.

A wraparound community of for sale, cottages and townhomes for families and others providing natural supports.

The Crocus Pavilion will be a statement structure near the entrance to the Crocus Community to host events. A walkway will extend on either side of the pavilion and include benches to support a larger market event where others could bring tents to set up along the walkway to sell their products. A modern design features a traditional brick pattern, wood slat sliding doors, and angled steel columns.
